I was talking with an agent, “Janice” today, and asked if she planned on closing at least two sales a month in 2010. I could tell by the look on her face the answer was no. She could not even imagine that much in sales. She tried to notch up the optimism and said, “I should plan on it, I know….”.
Well, guess what? If you don’t plan on making a certain number of sales-- if that number is not even in your realm of possibility-- then what are your chances? Will someone who never pictures himself in a new home ever own one? Will someone who feels she is undesirable ever attract a mate? Will a father who expects bad behavior from his child ever achieve peace? It is doubtful you will do or receive any better than what you imagine. We must fulfill our beliefs about ourselves.
Read the following “imaginings” and see if you can find the key to achieving your dreams.
Imagine - You develop a system of handling 20 sales per month, but you have a problem, you need to hire another assistant. Where will they sit?
Imagine – You have bought your dream home in the mountains, but the road is difficult in winter. Do you need to buy an SUV?
Imagine – You lost 40 pounds, but you were saving a fantastic dress for a cruise. Where can you find the best tailor?
Imagine – You’ve finally found your perfect spouse. You’ve been married for two years, and you want to start a family. Where will you move?
Are you getting the picture? The clue to success in achieving our dreams is accepting them as already here! And then… moving beyond that reality. When you accept something as if you have already achieved it, your outlook will change, and you will relax. You will stop sending too much “want” energy into the universe and will be able to bring forth your goals naturally, because it’s already done!
