For the third time in three weeks, one of my short sale posts has been spammed for business. This is not the same party, but different "anonymous" sources. The commenter may start making perhaps a somewhat edified remark about the subject matter, then will insert his website to advertise and steer business. I notice the party repeats the comment on other short sale posts after I am targeted. Sometimes they even change the "name" they leave. I will not be polite about this anymore. I will not wait. I will not hesitate. I will delete you.

I've always loved the name Wendy. One of my best friends in elementary school was named that.
Good information. Don't hesitate to eliminate garbage from your webiste or your life.
Hi Wendy,
How incredibly frustrating...One of my blogs has the same issue every so often.
Don't forget me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC!"

Richard - Thank you! I've had it with these sneaky, disingenuous characters! Good point on getting rid of all garbage, too.
Michael - I bet the spammer tries to spam this post, too!
Wendy- I just got another one today. They all give their names, but add their links and websites. It drives me craz- like they don't read the community guidelines! I can tell when it is a newbie paying it forward and just does not know and the ones that come on here just to add their links to our posts! So irritating.
Katerina - Yeah, he hit me, then he hit you with the same post but changed his name. Grrrr
Well isnt this something interesting for a newbie to learn about! Never thought about people doing that.
But I guess there are all kinds everywhere you go. Stand strong. Sounds like you know what to do.
Debbie
Debbie - I try to think the best of people, too. But some of them will think of everything. Now the party is sending spam emails... Just received one. Goes like this: "I read some of your posts on Active Rain, you are certainly educated on the short sale process. Should you ever decide to only focus on listing and selling short sales and hiring a company to handle short sale processing and negotiations for you, we may be the company for you. blah blah blah blah"
Wendy, I had a spam comment from a non member who was advertising his business. I whacked him with the delete button.
Richard - That's the thing to do. Irks me more when it's a "member"!
I havent been spammed that much. But when I have I delete it as soon as its dicovered. I have found some of my blogs where they shouldnt be.
Laura - The worst are auto-spammers, haven't seen those on AR, thankfully.
Absolutely, Wendy. I agree completely about deleting spammers. I do it myself.
On a scale of 1-10 that is about a 2...but an irritating 2 ;)
Margaret - I had guilt once, because the guy was an AR member and had been nice in previous comments. But he has to learn!
Perrin- Good one "irritating 2"!
Spam should not be tolerated. The delete button is there for a reason. Sometimes if it is a newbie that has made an innocent gaff then sometimes just an email to them to let them know that they aren't supposed to put links and promotional information in your comments will solve the problem. Othertimes it is the delete key.
Yep, I agree...DELETE..BYE BYE NOW!!! You go girl, take no prisoners...
Cindy - Yeah, the innocents are ok, they'll learn soon enough. The others have to go away!
Kelly - That's right! Enough is enough!
Does anyone really click on those folks comments anyway. I just ignore them. Maybe we take this too seriously.
Wendy, That is just plain rude for someone to do to you. Can you just block anonymous comments?
Charles - I just wanted to get it off my chest :)
Paul - I don't know how. Sometimes, though, they are from consumers looking for help.
